The food and service at A Land Remembered is delightful and I would recommend it to anyone staying at the hotel or who lives in Orlando.

A Land Remembered

Dined here with my girlfriend. We decided to explore away from our conference at another hotel. Restaurant is inside the Shingle Creek Resort. Complimentary valet, was offered since we weren&#39;t staying there but dining on the property. The exterior rooms leading to the restaurant is divine, the lobby is tastefully decorated and someone I knew that if the property paid this much attention to detail my restaurant experience would be similar. We were greeted and seated by the host. Our server was polite and friendly. Treated us like we were VIP, I think his name was Israel not sure. He also encouraged us to sign up for preferred plus an in house reward program that&#39;s give you 25 percent discount for repeat business. I can&#39;t say enough about the food, I had the rib eye it was tender and well seasoned, my friend had the shrimp she too was pleased. Service and food were excellent. Good size portions and worth every penny. You can&#39;t go wrong at this place. I give them a 10 out of 10. I&#39;m not very easy to please but good service and excellent quality deserves recognition. Will definitely be back when I&#39;m in town again.

After Rosen buffet for successive evenings, this is indeed a treat. Unique flat pizzas, as well as desserts, to share with friends, coupled with beer and chats with friends, make a perfect night cap. The staff was friendly too. We stayed for conference for 5 days and this is where we dined on the last night before heading home.

We have dined here tonight and can honestly say this was one of the best meals we have ever had! The tuna and crab cake appetisers we to die for! And the fillet steak with lobster tail was out of this world! But what really made the meal was the wonderful service we received from our server Bob Fredette, what an amazing guy, 5 *! And one we&#39;d love to meet again! And thank you to the wonderful chefs and bartender for making this a night to remember for all the right reasons. Couldn&#39;t recommend more highly

I was staying at Shingle Creek for the week, Unfortunately, this restaurant ended it on real disappointment. The restaurant should be called, &quot;A Land That Time Forgot,&quot; but nothing like an Edgar Rice Burrough&#39;s Caspak series novels that are memorable to the reader. Yes, it is no mystery that I had a very disappointing dinner served to me last night from this highly touted steakhouse. I ordered the center-cut rib-eye steak with scampi. The steak was simply average, and a bit dry. The shrimp was good, but nothing to write about. The steak was supposed to be a rib-eye, but I swear it was 1/2 NY strip - it was not round, but rectangular, almost square and about 2.5&quot; high one end, and 2&quot; at the other. I ordered the steak medium, but parts thinner areas were medium well. Flavor, juiciness, texture, and overall deliciousness were all missing from this steak! The sides I ordered were asparagus, kale and spinach. The asparagus was good, the other 2 were average. Saute spinach with garlic was tasty, but I rated it average because there was so very little to eat (serving size seemed more like one), and it was a bit on the salty side. Nothing here even comes close to a Ruth Chris steakhouse in terms of steaks and sides. Very disappointing when you can cook a better steak at home with choice beef from the local market. Steaks are priced just shy of $50 (ouch - you expect really good for this price tag), but sides are priced reasonable at $6.00 each with enough sharing. I do believe that the fish would have been a much better choice. This is a sad reality from a restaurant that touts their steaks, and prices them among the best! I would not go back, and certainly not order their &quot;Steak and scampi.&quot; The bone-in rib-eye did look good, but the plate I ordered (steak and scampi) looked both average, and fell short of a quality steakhouse!!! I did stay in an executive suite at the hotel which was a very nice room. Other restaurants on the premise were decent - 18 Monroe Street Market

The food is generally the same, the place is in the ancient city. The price is not very cheap.

I always wanted to try a whole lobster, but didn&#39;&#39;t have a clue where to start. &#39;&#39;Rachel&#39;&#39; our server was exceptionally helpful, went over and above I&#39;&#39;d say. Food was super tasty and the kids choices were great! wish we had dined here ore than once during our stay, but we will be back.
